Castiglioni, Achille and Pier Giacomo
Castiglioni, Achille and Pier Giacomo
Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni were influential mid century modern designers. The brothers both attended the Polytechnic University of Milan from the architecture program. Their primary focus was on industrial design, though they remained interested in the fields of architecture and town planning. Both Achille and Pier were internally recognized. They received five Compasso d’Oro awards, among many others, and have been featured in museums like MoMA. Their furniture and lighting continue to impress, even after all these decades.
