In the late 1950s, on the quiet northern coast of France, a sculptor named Diane Lemoine began experimenting with forms that blurred the line between furniture and sculpture. She worked in a converted boat workshop in Honfleur, where the sea air softened the edges of her plaster molds and inspired her fascination with curvature — forms that seemed to breathe.

Her goal was to create a “sofa without a corner,” a gesture of comfort drawn from the human body rather than geometry. The result was a single, continuous sweep of form — backrest and armrest merging like a single brushstroke. The original prototype, made from gypsum and wool felt, was said to have taken three weeks to shape by hand.

When Rove rediscovered Diane’s unpublished sketches decades later, the design was reborn as the Diane Sofa — an object that feels carved, not constructed. Each curve is mapped to the natural arc of rest; each seam follows the quiet discipline of French atelier craftsmanship.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to the USA and Canada. There are a few exceptions such as Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Nunavut.

We believe in transparent pricing. We don't hide shipping fees within the product price under the guise of free shipping. This helps us communicate the true value of our products to customers.

When will my order be delivered?

For in-stock orders, Standard and White Glove will take an estimated 1-4 business days for processing and an estimated 1-3 weeks for transit in Canada and the US.

For custom orders, lead time is an estimated 18-22 weeks. This estimated time frame is an all-encompassing lead time from the start of production to delivery. For more information about our Custom Order Policy and the Custom Order lead times, please see the Store Policy page here.

Standard shipping includes a delivery to the threshold, described as the "first dry area or garage", or lobby/service area of a high-rise building. White Glove service includes an in-home delivery appointment, up to 1 flight of stairs, assembly and removal of large packaging materials. If you are considering a return please request to keep the packaging.

What is your return policy?

We want you to be overjoyed with your new purchase. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with a product you can notify us via the contact form on our Contact Us page and our team will provide all of the details for initiating a return. Products need to be returned within 30 days from the delivery or pick-up date in original packaging and in like-new condition to be accepted.
